4.5.34.5 Sedatives
WorkSafe supports payment of prescription sedatives for short-term use only (four-six weeks maximum) provided clinical justification exists and the treater/prescriber adheres to the relevant prescribing requirements. Sedatives are occasionally used long-term for the treatment of epilepsy or spasticity.
